Organized in 1869, the Goodhue County Historical Society is the state's oldest county historical society. Its mission is to collect, protect, preserve, and interpret materials relating to the natural and cultural history and prehistory of Goodhue County and its peoples. The Society operates a museum and a research library and has a gift shop.
